I want to start using Tumblr much more, thing is I still dont know my way around too good. I just spent like 30 minutes trying to figure out how to reply to a post, never did figure it out then I noticed the posts under it had a reply choice and that one did not, I’m still confused!!! Guess once I spend more time here I will figure it all out eventually! I’m SO confused!!!
First forgive me for never being on here, I have yet to have Tumblr on my phone or I’d be on WAY more…..here is my problem, any advice/input would be greatly appreciated…
I have a BIG problem between 2 friends of mine (both women). Friend “A” & I met through our daughters, they had 2 years of pre-school together and became BFF’s, me and friend “A” soon followed, we are together all the time, we are both stay-at-home-moms, she has 3 kids (6,10,13) I have 2 (5,8)…our families started spending every weekend almost together, everyone loved everyone. Great. Friend “A” introduced me to friend “B” whom she’s been friends with since High School. Turns out friend “B’s” daughter & my son have been in the same class in school for 3 years now, cool. Friend “B” has 2 kids (8,13) she is a single Mom…we all start hanging out together often, mostly at my house. Friend “A’s” husband gets extra handsy/friendly when he drinks too much, he’s grabbed me, tried to kiss me on occasion, grabbed my neighbor, other friends, we all know how he gets, so does friend “A” obviously. Well, over Fathers Day weekend friend A&B were at friend “A’s” house, I was not there. The next day friend “A” called me all upset that she thinks she heard friend “B” & her husband kissing. No she didn’t see anything, she was downstairs, they were up, she “thinks” she heard them. They were both extremely drunk (friend “B” and the husband). Friend “B” didnt remember a thing the next day, nor did the husband. They both denied it but knowing how he gets, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did try, now whether or not she reciprocated I have no idea. Friend “B” was CRUSHED that friend “A” would no longer speak to her and tried to call but never got a reply. Anyway, ever since then, friend “A” hates friend “B” who by then I have become great friends with also. Friend “A” HATES that I still remain friends with “the WHORE” as she calls her. She cut her kids off from friend “B”s kids, my kids love both of their kids and have sleepovers quite often. Lately if I am with friend “B” I dont tell friend “A” but when she finds out she doesnt talk to me for days. It’s getting worse as time goes on, they had a huge fight on my Facebook page a few days ago, I put a post then 1 of them did, then the other, etc, it was ugly. Today was my Birthday and I didn’t even hear from friend “A”, I was beyond crushed. Friend “B” came over for a while & I truly do like her, we have lots of fun together, we don’t discuss friend “A”, or try not to anyway. I just miss friend “A” so much it’s crazy, even though I think she’s overreacting BIG time. I think she is making me choose, her or friend “B” at this point, which I don’t think is fair, especially when the kids are all close friends, I’m so torn and hurting, this sucks :-(
Love reading all of your posts, do it every chance I get, just poked in today to say hello and when school is back in session maybe I will have more time to actually post some shit myself!!!! Carry on…..:-)
I’m lucky I have time to pee these days, for real!!! SO much has been going on I wouldn’t know where to begin, I’ve been away for so long because I NEVER sit at my PC, if I didn’t have a smartphone I would never be on Facebook or Twitter either. I can’t seem to find a good tumblr android app or I’d jot stuff here & there.
We currently have 622 baby Mallard ducks in our barn, yes I DID say SIX HUNDRED! We also have 11 baby chicks in there. The ducks are not ours (thank GOODNESS cause cleanup is a bitch!!!)…a good friend of ours is a MAJOR hunter, he’s even a guide. Well, he said this area’s duck population is down bigtime & he wants to repopulate the area so he asked if he could use our barn. They were 1 day hatched when they arrived & soooooo cute! They quadrupled in size in 1 week!!!! I learned you cannot release them until they have their feathers or they will sink like a rock! The Kankakee river is 1 mile down the road from us, he will release them at different points along the river in a few more weeks. I have lots of pics of them in my phone, need to figure out how to post one, dont even have time to load my phone pics into the PC.
It’s been the last week of school and TONS going on there also, had to be at school for all different events. Been mowing our 4 acres, building a new deck, cleaning, doing laundry, working, losing my mind!!!!! UGH…..hope all is well in tumblrland!!!!
I accidently clicked on ‘standard view’ for Tumblr on my android phone & now I can’t figure out how to get out back to ‘mobile view’! On standard view out won’t load more than a few posts from my dashboard, on mobile view it would load however many I wanted to read….PLEASE help! Thanks in advance, I’m sooo frustrated & just trying to find a way to use Tumblr more!
I just woke up, lying in bed with my coffee & my beloved EVO (my phone for those of you who don’t know). It’s 8:24am, went to bed at 2am-ish so I’m kinda tired. As usual a bunch of friends were over with their kids so my kids also went to bed at that time & are currently still asleep. It’s so hard to use Tumblr on the web from my phone, I really need to decide what App to install…I read a Ton of your posts this morning and wanted to thank you all, you guys ROCK and entertain me wonderfully! BBL friends, my coffee cup is empty-can’t have that!
Looking through all of your posts makes me realize how much I miss it here…
I was rushing around like a crazy person, took a fast shower & got dressed, did a bunch of errands, stopped home, was gonna brush my hair again and saw my hair looked wierd like I had put a ton of hair gel on or something but I hadn’t used anything at all! I touched it & it felt stiff, I smelled it & then I realized what I did…
I had forgotten to rinse out the conditioner! Yes it smells really good, feels soft and lotiony (is that a word?), but ewww, doesn’t look too hot, yes a real true Monday for sure!

Because someone has to save the intellect of the media. And it isn’t going to FOX, ABC, A&E, or any of the others. They will stand up and applaud themselves violently for the very occasional educational programming they air, but generally speaking it will not cover the diversity of PBS, nor will it be as consistent.
PBS is part of why I learned to read before kindergarten, why I learned that skin color is just skin, why I understood that animals aren’t mean, they are just being animals.
So much money is wasted by the government, to cut funding for something that contributes so much for so little is just sad.
